Ross Chapin

Ross Chapin is an architect and neighborhood planner based on Whidbey Island. He is a passionate advocate for pocket neighborhoods, a term he coined for small groupings of neighbors around shared commons, which he sees as building blocks for vibrant and resilient communities. His partnerships with developers, builders and city planners have created innovative housing and neighborhood prototypes that have received significant national attention and shifted mainstream development thinking.
